Who invented Banoffee pie?

Nigel Mackenzie: In 1971, he invented the banoffee pie, which became a culinary sensation. Similar Recipes, The main thing which you need for this is the dulce de leche, i used homemade ones for this. Of course you can use store bought ones if you can find it. Ingredients for Easy Banoffee Pie 

For Base:

20 Biscuits ( i used milk bikis) 75 grams Butter  melted

Filling:

1 cup  Dulce de Leche ( Recipe here) 2 large Ripe Bananas peeled and sliced into rounds 2 tsp Lemon Juice or Orange Juice  ¾ cup Cream ( I used amul 25% fresh cream) 1.5 tbsp Sugar  1 tsp Vanilla Essence

Dulce de Leche :Dulce de leche, also known as caramelised milk or milk jam in English, is a Latin American confection made by slowly heating sugar and milk for several hours.

Ripe Bananas :Ripe bananas are yellow in colour with brown or black spots on the surface. Bananas are sweeter and taste better than unripe bananas. As the bananas ripen, the resistant starch in the bananas converts to simple sugar.
