Love samosas. Any time of the day I would enjoy a hot samosa with a cup of tea. Specially this punjabi style samosas are really delicious. The outer crust is flaky and crispy just like a fried shortcrust pastry. The filling is spicy with full of potatoes, peas and masalas. Samosa must be accompanied with masala chai or ginger tea. Even though 1 samosa calories comes around 262 calories which don’t bother me at all.

Rub oil into the flour really well before adding water. This creates a short crust like texture and makes the outer crust crispy and flaky. The filling has boiled potatoes and peas. You can use any filling of your choice. Always fry samosa in low to medium heat for longer time till it gets crispy.
Freezing Samosa
If you are planning to freeze samosa. Fry the samosa for 1 to 2 minute and then cool it down. Store the cooled samosa in a ziploc bag in freezer till use.
